Some of the more significant details of my life start at the beginning. I was born a very sick child and even nearly died at birth, according to what my father told me. I had a rare immune condition that made me prone to infection, though I can't say for sure what it was in today's terms. The healers in my clan were only barely able to keep me alive and it wasn't until Hashirama developed a medical ninjutsu that negated most of my symptoms that I was able to perform as a shinobi. However, this jutsu would turn out to be temporary, though I didn't discover that until later in life.

My fragile health was the reason that I began to learn fuinjutsu and place various seals across my body to enhance my health and abilities. The seals on my face reduced my eyes' sensitivity to life and negated any poisonous or toxins I happened to ingest. I had markings around my ankles to improve my speed, around my ankles and on the backs of my hands to channel my chakra and strengthen my jutsu, a seal on my stomach to bolster my immune system, and on my arms and legs to store chakra in order to use my other seals effectively. Once Mito came to the village, she was able to correct the flaws in my original designs that took a toll on my body, adding seals on my shoulders, neck, and back to redirect my chakra more effectively and balance the disproportionate amount of chakra I was using previously. That woman was truly a godsend.

When the Hyuga clan came to the village, their elders set forth the condition that their matriarch, Amateru Hyuga, be married into the Senju clan as a form of "insurance" to solidify their alliance. The Hyuga were known to prefer to keep their bloodline "pure", but they recognized the benefits of introducing a strong Senju into their lineage, and since Hashirama was already married to a different member of the Uzumaki clan by this time, the Senju elders presented me for the arranged marriage. It wasn't a favourable position to be in, but I knew that my brother wanted the Hyuga as allies rather than enemies, so I accepted. Although, even Amateru had her reservations about it, but she informed me in private that if she were to refuse this treaty presented by her clan elders, she would be deposed as matriarch.

While our marriage was forced, we did eventually grow to enjoy each other’s company, and though we never quite fell in love, we did conceive a son named Chiyuki. He mostly took after his mother, inheriting her black-and-white hair, and was able to use the Byakugan despite his normally blue eyes. Due to this, he inherited the right to become Amateru's successor of the Hyuga clan when she eventually died in battle during the First Shinobi World war.

Contrary to "canon" events, Madara was the one who married Mito, while Hashirama was betrothed to her younger sister, the heiress apparent Shimizu. While Mito was originally supposed to marry Hashirama, as had become something of a custom between our clans, she fell for Madara instead...somehow. Given that she refused to go through with a marriage to Hashirama because of this, she was stripped of her birth right as heiress, which was given to Shimizu instead. Madara and Mito produced a daughter named Enishiya, who not only inherited their legacies, but grew to become quite the legend herself throughout her life.

The First Shinobi World War was also the war that should have claimed my life, but I had an ace up my sleeve: senjutsu. I learned the art of gathering natural energy from Hashirama—at least the fundamental theory of it, but I only truly gained the ability to use senjutsu after studying in the sacred jungle of the wild cat domain. I had gone through many trials to earn my right to stand amoungst their pride and be worthy of their respect enough to form a contract with them. I passed on this summoning contract to Kagami when he became one of my pupils and dubbed him my successor of the Hokage legacy.

Before you ask, yes, when I used senjutsu, I gained feline-like features... I kindly ask that no one makes inappropriate comments to me about this.

I didn't live very long after Kagami became Hokage, but I was around to see Chiyuki act as his advisor and help stabilize tensions between the Uchiha and the rest of the village. Unfortunately, the jutsu Hashirama had used on me to "cure" me of my illness as a child was finally beginning to wane and I could feel the effects rapidly deteriorating my body. In my final hours, I found myself in the crypt of Madara Uchiha, having a conversation with myself about my regrets and unfulfilled wishes. I asked him to forgive me for the death of his brother and said that he and Izuna would both have been proud to see everything Kagami had accomplished in such a short time. I died quietly next to an empty coffin.

When I was initially reanimated alongside Hashirama by Orochimaru during their attack on the village in the midst of the Chunin Exams, the battle that ensued remained largely the same as the "canon" events, though instead of fighting Hiruzen, we fought against an aged Kagami. My brother and I had no control over our bodies or speech once Orochimaru placed the seal inside of us, so we were forced to act according to their will.

When I was reanimated during the Fourth Shinobi World War, I was furious that Madara had gone to such lengths to terrorize the village and the world at large. I told him that he had disrespected Izuna’s eyes by using them in that way, which set him off on a rampage instead of waiting to fight Hashirama.

His frontal assault was clearly unplanned and guided purely by rage, which made it easy to subdue him for a time. While he eventually broke free of me and Hashirama, we provided enough of a break for the others to attack Obito and Zetsu. Madara pinned me down with his chakra rods to deal with later while he faced Hashirama one-on-one.

Sasuke freed me from the rods and I coordinated a suiton jutsu with his Chidori to immobilize the biju until they were free from Madara’s control. After that I left Madara to Hashirama and tag-teamed with Minato using our Kage Bunshin and Hiraishin to attack Obito and Zetsu.

After his change of heart, Kabuto entered the battlefield to heal Sasuke. When he saw the state the Allied Shinobi Forces were in against the enemy, he revealed his trump card: another reanimation he hadn’t used during the first wave of the war. Much of the fighting came to a halt when Izuna Uchiha stepped out of the coffin Kabuto summoned, including Madara’s battle with Hashirama.

I watched Madara fall to his knees as Izuna approached him, speechless as they embraced each other. All was quiet as Izuna asked him why he was creating more war when he had only ever dreamed of peace when they were alive. His words seemed to make Madara realize the “error of his ways”, as it were.

Izuna convinced Madara to let go of his anger and both of their reanimated bodies dissipated peacefully. Black Zetsu was unsatisfied with this outcome and used itself to forcibly revive Kaguya through Obito since he was still the Jubi’s jinchuriki at the time. The other reanimated Hokage and I were left helpless to do anything with everyone trapped in the roots of the God Tree while Kaguya stole away the last living resistance into one of her dimensions.

In the meantime, Hashirama convinced us to “catch up” on what he and I missed during Kagami’s and Minato’s time as Hokage. Kagami told me that Chiyuki lived a long, bountiful life as a shinobi and helped him run a great and prosperous village. He also mentioned that Chiyuki had had a daughter of his own named Amane after her grandmother. Kagami was proudly made her godfather. He neglected to mention until further prompting that Chiyuki’s wife had been none other than Enishiya Uchiha. I had mixed feelings about this, but there was nothing to be done about it at that point.

Unfortunately, Kagami also revealed that Danzo had still succeeded in manipulating Itachi Uchiha to execute the Uchiha massacre. Kagami had survived after a direct confrontation with Itachi, but Danzo had provided the means for his escape, having convinced Kagami at the time that Itachi's actions had been warranted to prevent an Uchiha uprising. Kagami felt responsible for the demise of his clan, having been unable to stop it from happening, and expressed that Minato likely could have done more were he still alive at the time.

He also recounted the accomplishments of Enishiya Uchiha, who had perished during the Third Shinobi World War and had established quite the name for herself as the "Uchiha Warrior Princess". Evidently, she had taught herself senjutsu as well from the last of the Sage Dragons of Jigokuzan, a massive volcano in Yama no Kuni, and became the first Dargon Sage in millennia. After hearing about that, I buried my doubts of my son's decision to marry her. Uchiha or not, even I couldn't shirk the tale of her strength even just hearing about it second-hand. Although, that did pose the question of why she wasn't a prime candidate for the Edo Tensei, unless she was similarly trapped away in the Shiki Fūjin that prevented her soul from being recalled into the living plane. Neither Kagami nor Minato could confirm this, however, seeing as her death had apparently remained something of a mystery even to them.

Once Kaguya had been defeated and the Infinite Tsukuyomi was released, our souls were freed and we returned to the Pure Land. I wished that I could have stuck around for a while longer, if only to satisfy my curiosity about how events would continue to unfold in the wake of the Fourth Shinobi World War, but I had to settle for spectating from the afterlife instead, at least until I ended up here.
